Purpose of the IBAN BIC Service
By using the service, consumers, businesses and institutions can add IBAN and BIC information to their own administrations. The service is temporary and is designed to support the SEPA migration in the Netherlands.
Stichting IBAN Service NL is a non-profit organisation. The service provides consumers with the IBAN and BIC information of single Dutch account numbers. Business and institutions can request the IBAN and BIC for a large number of existing Dutch account numbers in one file. The file enrichment service is intended for updating the users own administration or administrations maintained for a third party. Commercial use, resale or redistribution of the IBAN and BIC information is prohibited. Stichting IBAN Service NL retains the right to amend or cease use of the service in case of excessive usage and/or if the service is used for the wrong purposes. By using the file enrichment service, the user agrees to the terms and conditions.
Use of the IBAN BIC MultiChecker
The service is widely accessible and the usage is free of charge, based on the principle of fair usage. This principle assumes that, as part of their SEPA preparations, organisations have the procedures and systems in place enabling them to independently update their administrations with IBAN and BIC, after initially using the IBAN BIC service for their first update.
Users of the IBAN BIC MultiChecker may enrich a maximum of 50 files. Only premium users may enrich more files; they may enrich up to 1.000 files. Premium users will be charged for this service. Click on Charges for an overview of all charges. Premium users will enter into a contract with the foundation. Once they register online, they will be sent a written contract by post which they must sign and return.
